September 21st - Tuscany

A late, relaxing breakfast at our castle, followed by naps and a drive througth Tuscany. We enjoyed stopping in small villages, at other castles, and at a pretty vineyard before going to Panzano for a Chianti Wine Festival. We had a picnic on the wall from Antonio's and enjoyed tasting wine from the region and meeting people from all over the world. We really enjoyed getting to talk with some of the wine producers, especially a local lady named Emilia from Fattoria Casaloste. Her son was born with his organs on the opposite side of his body from where they should be. However, he is fine, healthy, and their wine, Inverneso (written backwards with his thumbprint on it) was our favorite. Very interesting story! Back to our castle and to bed.
